A very exciting opportunity has arisen at award winning Duncombe Sawmill in Helmsley as we are looking to appoint a new team member to work in our Customer Service Department. This is a very important role and will suit an outgoing individual who thrives on dealing with customers in a busy environment.

You will play a key role in driving the growth of the business by providing excellent customer care to existing customers (both retail and trade) as well as assisting in the launch of a new side of the business.

A pro-active and efficient individual who is able to work under pressure, you will drive sales through your product knowledge and ability to effectively optimize sales enquiries.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Dealing with customer on email, telephone and in the office
• Preparing quotes
• Following up quotes by telephone and email for retail and trade
• Processing orders and taking payments
• Arranging of site visits
• Ordering stock
• Monitoring customer sales
• Monitoring daily sales and monthly targets

Person Spec

• Able to work under pressure and remain calm
• Able to juggle a number of different tasks
• Highly organized
• Detail focused
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Financially and commercially aware
• Proven track record of providing excellent customer service
• Experience of working in sales would be a distinct advantage
• Confident user of Microsoft Word and Excel

• This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, 8am – 4.30pm (with half an hour for lunch) plus one Saturday in 6 from April to October
